S.T.A.R. and Mini-S.T.A.R. RETREAT APPLICATIONS!
The 2018 S.T.A.R. (Students Teaching About Resistance) Retreat will be held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church (the Purple Door Church) in Celina, Ohio. Registration will be from 8:30am – 9:00am and the event will run from 9:00am until 9:30pm.
The S.T.A.R. Retreat is a prevention and training program geared towards Mercer County 6th – 8th graders that will enhance the student’s skills and prepare them for further participation in upcoming prevention activities. This is a youth-led, adult-guided retreat. Youth attending the program will be supervised by high school, college, and adult role models! Youth will be attending one personal growth session and two ‘how-to’ sessions. Youth will spend time with their “family group” and participate in team building activities and games as well as have a dance/hangout time with other area youth.
The Mini-S.T.A.R. Retreat is similar to the S.T.A.R. Retreat, although shorter in duration and geared for Mercer County 3rd – 5th graders. The Mini-S.T.A.R. Retreat will be held on Saturday March 17, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church (the Purple Door Church) in Celina, Ohio. Registration is from 8:30am – 9:00am and the event will run from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
